WAIT, Chicago or Willow Springs? The FCC database shows Willow Springs, but they are still ID'ing as Chicago. What's the latest on this?

It looks like the COL change went through and they're licensed to Willow Springs (though, I thought the FCC denied them, or was that 850 and 750?) However, there's a CP (which they could be under, too) with apps for night service.

Anyone know where the night towers would be? I know 820's old night site is now an industrial park.

That night app shows relatively recent applications (FAA issue date of November) for six towers near Maple Rd (US 6) and Briggs St in Ridgewood, which isn't far from the WJOL/WSSR site. The FCC wireless site shows that the applications were received and granted on January 27. A Google satellite view shows one tower on that site already. That's not the old night site, is it?

No.. The old night site was off I-290 and IL-83... I was still just a kid when they took the towers down but I kind of remember there being towers there... The site is now where the Comcast head-end is, iirc.

The 3.5 kW daytime CP is for an auxilliary transmitter. It is actually the old WEDC (AM 1240)tower on 5475 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

The daytime tranmsitter currently used is the one at 4949 W. Belmont. Same site as WSBC AM 1240.<P ID="signature">______________
