Hi,

I don't remember where I read it (probably on this board) but it looks like April 7th is the big day.

Then why were some on-air talent there saying good bye today?

I really like that Bonneville is allowing the on air personalities to say their goodbyes to the listeners.
THAT is class in my opinion and I salute them for that.
I also heard they will be playing an all request weekend for the fans, another show of class.
THANKS Bonneville and V100!

It does seem funny to me that the station would still be using imaging slogans like "The NEW V100" at this point. When does it stop being "NEW"...on Monday?? ;D

Bonneville has nothing to do with it. Thank Radio One. They still own the station and the LMA isn't in place until this coming week.

Now listening to the morning show on v100. They are promoting KDAY. Monique is starting her show. Sounds like some of the v100 folks are moving over to KDAY.

Hats off to Radio One then, I really appreciate the way they are handling this station change with more class from the corporate station owners in years...

Didn't sound to me as if anyone was moving from V100 to KDAY. Where would they end up as much of KDAY is either syndicated product or tracked?

Theo from KDAY was on as well. Radio One had a reason to have Monique and him on as KDAY is the new Radio One affiliate for Los Angeles. He mentioned Michael Baisden MAY be moving to KDAY.

It's been a wonderful show this morning. Great send off to legendary station.
V100 legendary??????????????

No, but 'The Beat' certainly was back in the day. It's more a tribute to KKBT today on-air than it has been for V100.

I haven't heard any "tribute" to The Beat other than a number of former Beat on-air staff being on together (Cliff, Diana, Big John, Ben Kelly, Theo...). Many on V100 just happen to be "The Beat" alumni.

"The Beat" died long ago and V100 is no 100.3, 92.3 or FM 92 "The Beat".

Now: Sounds of Blackness - Optimistic
The station is now jockless.

Bonneville as mentioned on a number or radio news websites today is supposed to take over at Midnight tonught. That would follow a pattern as when Bonneville assumed control of KZLA and let KBIG go, they were both done simultaneously at midnight with live on-air jocks (Rick Diego on KBIG).
