WAJZ (Albany) starting to play Dance

Got this from the PD, "We've recently evolved into a Rhythmic CHR with a new direction here in Albany...we are in need of Rhythmic Dance product."

It always give me a smile when I hear that.

Great news John. I'm guessing you'll find it easier to promote the Dance records that the college CHR in the Albany market is already playing. Then again, a great record is a great record so any song you think will sound good on a Rhythmic CHR shouldn't be ruled out.

That may explain why they been adding DHT and Cascada in recent weeks. This might be a good move for WAJZ.

It appears that they have gone beyond that mix show: Billboard Radio Monitor shows them adding Judy Torres' "Faithfully" and Cascada's "Everytime We Touch" into daily rotation. So much for them being a "Hip-Hop" station.
