"Wake-Up News" Goes Belly Up

CW 57's morning news program will be rebranded as an extension of CBS3's "Eyewitness News This Morning" later this month.

If you ask me, I was actually waiting for them to retire this branding. I only thought they named it as such because of the synergy of the UPN logo (they were an affiliate at the time the news program started) with the title.

I always wondered why it wasn't "branded" Eyewitness News it only makes good business sense and much less confusion for the consumer.

It wouldn't have made sense when there already was an Eyewitness News on CBS3 with different people and a different show. This is the way that makes sense to have the Eyewitness brand on CW57.
