After a 2 year hiatus, 96X yesterday returned to hot AC/CHR from their old CHR-pop format. "Edmonton's #1 Hit Music Station" is out, "'90s & Now" is in.
96X had been leaning hot AC since new PD Rob Mise took over a few weeks ago. It was widely rumoured the change would occur once CHR-rhythmic 91.7 The Bounce (which had been playin' to much pop/rock titles to its playlist) debuted earlier this year.
96X made headlines earlier this week when they cancelled their "Brangelina Bounty" contest and donated the $10,000 prize money to the Salvation Army to aid with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
PS: They're Newcap's ONLY hot AC.
Edited by PassDutch on 08/31/05 06:47 PM.
