WAKS 96.5 dropped it's "Kiss-FM" identifier for this weekend, changing to "mgk", referencing the Cleveland based Rock/Rap artist formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly and MGK, now going by, simply, a lower case mgk.
It was “MGK Day” all weekend in Cleveland. Looks like iHeart decided to take advantage of the event for 96.5. Looking at their recently played from the weekend, looks like they threw a few of his songs into the playlist. There are a few hours with two of his songs and several hours without. In the 3am hour this morning, they played “cliché” twice.
Now WAKS is without Jeremiah Widmer as its afternoon host. He left several weeks ago as part of the iHeart layoffs. Allen Colon took his place in the PMD slot.
