WAKX has a website

Glad to see something's happening with 102.7 frequency, although I'd like to see them actually broadcast from the Narragansett area. Also, do they have room to improve their signal? I know it's a class A, but I thought they have room to to up to 3kw (I think they're at 1.8kw, maybe less at 69m HAAT). I know that there's 102.5 from Waltham/Boston, and maybe even 102.3 from Stonington that could be preventing this.

Steve Conti is now programming WAKS 102.7 and flipped the format to "Jazz-FM "last weekend. He and a couple of his other friends have done alot of work on the technical end in Providence and at the transmitter site over the past couple of weeks.

The site looks cool, can't wait till they finish the rest of it. Too bad they don't stream.

102.7 is probably as good as it can get non directionally...
