I am personally looking forward to having a full powered HIS Radio affiliate in the Charleston area. I like them much better than WMHK here in Columbia and really wish that we had a HIS Radio affiliate here as well.
Albeit it marginal, I like WMHK a little better than His Radio - it may simply be because I'm from "old school" radio and I have an admiration for stations who still use their callsign as their name and not just as a legal ID. I can remember in the early 80s when "His Radio" still used "WLFJ - With Love From Jesus". But I do like both and am delighted that His Radio is getting a better signal in Charleston. I wonder if the two translators will go dark -- it would certainly save His Radio some $$$.
It would really make no sense to keep those two translators on. I would keep them a couple of weeks to get everyone transitioned over, but after that I'd shut 'em down. No need.
