Haven't heard a peep from WALE/990 in quite a few years. Have they have even operated for the required couple of days a year to keep the license active or has anyone heard a whimper from this long dormant station? I'd hate to own that "WHALE" of a station. I could only imagine the electric bill.

No STAs to be silent have been filed since 2007.
FCC will catch up to them after APR 1, 2014 when the license expires if they don't file to renew the license by DEC 2, 2013.
Petition to deny deadline is MAR 3, 2014.

Still the license has expired.
And by law it is now DWALE.
Looks like the FCC paperwork has fallen throught the cracks.
