There is breaking news about the future of RI Talk Radio. I PERSONALLY had a conversation with Bruce Sundlun, former Governor. He informed me, he, Arlene Violet, and Bruce Harsh are moving forward with Dave Layman to bring full Local talk radio to RI.
There are plenty of questions I have that I couldn't ask Bruce. He's confident about making the station work.

Walter,

I hope that part of making the station work will include much needed maintenance on the transmitter site to get the signal back up to 50 kW daytime. Otherwise, forget it. Should they indeed get the daytime signal back up to par, it would then be an interesting idea to see if they can get more than 5 kW at night. I bet with a pattern change and some augmentations, it could be done.

This is very good news. I'm hoping that the recent financial troubles of the conglomerates (Clear Channel, Infinity, et al) will lead to stations all over the country being divested and returned to local ownership groups.
