Walker for sale?

My question is these people are selling radio checks and can't google the song info?

Song; "Who's Makin' Love" by Johnny____?
Song: Glen Campbell "Lineman For The County"

Can we say Johnnie Taylor and Glen Cambell's "Wichita Lineman"?

Not to mention "John Friend and the Playboy Band".

I love them! I have a medley of their hit!

yep, i guess they taped everyone at TIX in Dec of 68.Skip Broussard,Bob Walker and old crazy me (Ray Fisher).don't suppose we could do anything since it wasn't copy protected. This guy makes a mint off these airchecks just from the shipping. But i got smart and offered to pay him to remove mine or use them for mini frisbees, great for skeet shoots.(ha).Yall keep those hits coming...

Whew, boy you right Ray, those were some horrible airchecks that came out of TIX around late '68. But I guess as bad as they sound to us now, that *was* the sound that made TIX what it was back then. We were all "inspired" by the Buzz "A-Go-Go" Bennett sound that was still with us as recently as one month before this a/c was made, in November of 1968, when GM Fred Berthelson personally kicked Buzz out of the studio forever. When Mitchell took over as PD in early December 1968, we eased up on the Boss Jock hypertension on the air, thank God.

That guy must have a ton of copies of the same old Walker/Bobby Reno/Skip Broussard/Ray Fisher TIX DJ a/c's from within days of each other back then because they've all been offered on EBay now for at least a couple of years. Me, I wouldn't want to hear mine.

Great hearing from you, Ray.

Bob Walker

you too,Bob.Sorry i missed the reunion.was out in colorado getting a new start up on the air.i laugh when i hear that aircheck.Hell, you sounded good.I think that was my first nite on the air,i was lost as a goose and nervous. But we had fun most of the time.i remember Jon Reed, song ends,Jon puts down sports page(he always wanted to do sports, you know)extro song "on the Jon Reed program on WTIX,BOB WALKER in at 1PM.He did that at nearly every stop set, right? Finally, one day i went in the control room and said Jon,what time does Bob Walker work?He just chuckled.and said bad crutch, huh?Take care, hope all is well your way.Ray
