I understand that Sgt. T-Ben Boudreaux was being paid $15 a day to work 3 hour afternoons with Bob Walker to help get the station established. When the ratings came out and they were doubled, T-Ben asked for a raise. Bear in mind that $15.00 for 3 hours was all Costello was apparently paying him. The story continues that the ever generous and really concerned for his staff Michael Costello refused to increase the $5 an hour pay, so T-Ben quit the afternoons, and, in support of T-Ben's pitiful salary situation, Bob Walker walked too.
If this is true, this dismal station deserves what it gets. Nobody will work for Costello anymore in sales, engineering or on-air. The moral here: Costello is Costello and will never change. Screwing his people out of money seems to be a game with him. Joseph redux.
Reno quit. Walker quit. T-Ben quit. Blair is about to quit.
Get ready for "WTIX...all Michael all the time."
