Wally Brine

Has anybody heard anything about Wally Brine cutting back on his duties on the Loren & Wally show on WROR? I heard the tail end of them talking about it and had to get to work and did not have a chance to listen to the rest of the show. I was wondering if anybody else heard more about this.

Didn't hear it but I could swear that they signed a new long term contract just a year or two ago.

The date on the article is June 5, 2007. That's only slightly more than a year and a half ago. One might think that "long-term" would be a good 3 to 5 years.

However, they've both been at it for a very long time, gone through countless formats, call letters, co-workers, and now the horrible budget cuts that have left them as the only on-air fulltimers at the station.

And Loren's wife passed away a year or two ago.

Who wouldn't blame them if they both said 'screw it' and retired.
