Has the 104.1 transmitter been moved to Tyrone? Last time I checked the COL was still Greenville and I beleive the CP involved a COL change to Palmetto. That CP has to be nearing expiration. I had also heard that WSB TV has a CP to put a 10KW translator on the air from the old 104.1 tower in Newnan. Anyone know how that's coming along?

Last I heard, and it's been a while, was adding the little bit of height to the Tyrone tower would exceed Fayette County height restrictions, and Cox was trying to get an exception. The 96.7 and 107.9 antennas are also on that tower.

there are a few user at the Tyron site. I've heard Cox is haveing a time getting on that tower and was looking to build one of its own.I find WALR gets in to Atl as well as any do. But Cox dosn't think that way they want 60 dbs to over lap there other stations.

But that would mean they would need to get a new AJC cross-ownership waiver from the FCC. That has been the stymie on moving either WSBB or WALR closer in.

Cox has had cross owers ships. I mean owner groups out side of Cox to owned station around the FCC rules for years.I was told they couldnt get a land deal. Cox likes to own there land. They already have good cover over Atlanta now whats all this cost for a mile futher NE.
