I really wanted to say something positive about this show. I've read along as some people on this board have bashed every show on air in Dallas and usually it just comes off like some kind of personal vendetta instead of an unbiased review, but in this case I don't think anyone has scratched the surface of how bad this show really is. It's abysmal. It's a stuck-in-the-80s corny schtick is so tired it makes DLR's last weeks seem brilliant in comparison. I don't know anyone at the Bone, so I have no reason to hate on it! It's just BAD.

Someone mentioned it early,and if you hear W&J's promo ,they do sound like the" Greater Tuna" guys with one exception, The Tuna guys were funnier and actually had an audience.

Walton & Johnson are ---so--- psyched about getting the 12+ #1 rating in the Baton Rouge, La. area ! They intend that their Classic Rock radio is desinged to appeal to the 25-64 range. But if you'vev ever listened to their shtick, they clearly are appealing to the Beavis & Butthead crowd between 12-24.

So what they say, and what they do, is so totally different. But hwat do expect from such bottom scrappers.

Maybe I've managed to tune 'em in when they were at the best they've ever been but I think these guys are pretty damned good.

Um, yeah. One of them is a transvestite, you Gomer. Maybe if you stare at the radio real, real hard you might even be able to see what he-she is wearing. Try squinting.

My take is that you either "get" the show or you don't. I didn't particularly care for it the first few times I tuned in, but now it's a must-listen each weekday and the "best of" show on Saturdays.

My nephew is overseas military. He has me capturing the shows to CD and including them in his support packages so he doesn't have to contend for internet time in his afternoons.

And despite the vehemence with which most of you denounce the show as "ew sucky", I don't see you offering up any alternative shows that you think are sooooo much better.

Is one of them a transvestite ? Sure sounds like it ..A had more laughs at a funeral..You could clip the wires on the back of your tuner and heara better morning show than what Clulus is broadcasting.

Steve Johnson does all the voices of the characters on that lame show--Billy Ed is Steve Johnson's redneck character, which is like listening to that Ernest "Hey, Vern!" guy, Mr. O is the black character that indulges in the Amos & Andy stereotypes, and Mr. Kenneth is the squealing gay character.
It really is his show, as Walton is the straight guy who worships the Drudge report and Fox News channel.

Walton and Johnson's show were the biggest supporters of the war in Iraq that I can think of in the Southern U.S.
Neither one of them ever served in the military, even though Walton is old enough to have volunteered in Vietnam--but didn't.
To my knowledge, none of their adult children serve in the U.S. military either.
W&J are vainglorious hypocrits that call anyone that disagrees with them stupid.

W&J have been invisible in the Houston ratings since the day they arrived. They are about as funny as an autopsy report.
