When will they bring back Rock radio that has as it's focus the great Rock Music.
I want a station that focuses on quality music, in other words, all of the great rock that's not on the current playlists ?

Something other than the Top 40/ Hit Radio THAT I NEVER LIKED ANYWAY -- EVER.

Wherever that radio stations turns up.... that will be for me.

W&J are a disease to whatever station they infest. They are notorious for turning on management, sales, promotions and coworkers on the air within weeks of being hired. They demand red carpet royal treatment and get it. They bash anyone who disagrees with their angry extremist politics and run listeners away from stations with their political rants. There don't seem to be disclaimers from stations distancing themselves from their ego driven racist political rants on behalf of the GOP, so I'll just assume the stations agree with their politics and support their opinions.

Bottom line is that they just aren't funny. I first heard them while on business in New Orleans, and just couldn't find anything I liked in the morning. Next they infiltrated the airwaves of my favorite rock station in Houston, now the damn irritants have followed me to my home in DFW. Thank goodness for Jagger and company. At least they're local and for the most part entertaining.

You are right. This is another symtom of today's bad management. Lack of leadership, vision, fairness and common sense runs rampant in our industry.

If they were going for a morning team that could be of relevance to the classic rock crowd, I really think that John Boy and Billy would have been a better choice for the Bone. Their preoccupation with NASCAR notwithstanding, I think JB&B are far and away more clever. Besides, they really have no political agenda like W&J. Outlandish thinking on my part? No more so than Bone management, who bought into Walton and Johnson's malodorous tripe.

I'm not really into NASCAR but it's hugely popular, even in D/FW, whether you or I would like to admit it. Do JB & B devote too much time to it? Yes.

I said I thought that John Boy and Billy would have been a better choice (not the ultimate one). They have plenty of shortcomings as well, and the best fit for the Bone would have been a talented local morning team, of course. But let's turn this around: what lifestyle do Walton & Johnson exemplify? The so-called "Southern boy" mindset is evident in their show, too, but the humor is lacking. Hasn't it been years since their show was relevant and fun for the listener, whether it's someone listening to the Bone or a true classic rock station? I remember that I enjoyed listening to John Walton in Dallas (before the "Walton and Johnson Show"). But that was twenty years ago.
