Walton & Johnson Back on the Air in Houston

According to their Facebook page it'll be tomorrow morning at 5:30. Will it be KPRC? After all they did just fire Joe Pags...
 
No god no they suck and are a tad bit racist at times plz move to one of the cities were there ratings are much better than Houston

It looks like Walton & Johnson will replace Joe Pags.
 
I guess because he's just one more of the casualties of radio and I am tired of all the good people in Houston radio getting fired and getting replaced with horrible yet popular people like Walton and Johnson. You what care if you hadn't retired and you were still in radio and it was you who had gotten fired. That's the problem with radio and that's the problem with America. Nobody gives a damn anymore. That's really nice to know.
 
It's not like Pags is jobless and standing in the unemployment line. As I understand it he still has his WOAI and KOA gigs, so he's not exactly out on the street.

But I agree that it's depressing to see a competent talkshow guy get replaced by the execrable Walton and Johnson. They are an embarrassment to this business, and they'll fit right in at KPRC. Pags should be grateful they let him go. I wouldn't want to work for anybody who would put those two clowns on the air.
 
How many times can these guys get pulled and get put back on the radio in Houston?! They weren't funny when they first appeared on KLOL and they've only gotten worse. Has Houston run out of good radio people?! I don't think so. They could do better here.
 
So, were they on this morning? This is a tough one, because they fired Pags--arguably their best talk show host--to bring back Walton & Johnson, who I really enjoy also. W&J is schtick, and I dig 'em. But, it's a whole different beast from regular talk radio. I want to know if they've known all along that this was going to happen. Clear Channel takes them off Arrow because they couldn't fight the "more music" battle with a talk show in the morning, but it's been how long? Now they finally stick them back on? Probably some contracts had to run out.
 
They get brought back because there is a demand for them. Not sure what people are hearing to make the claims that they are racist. Those that make that claim need to look the word up in the dictionary for clarification. I have yet to hear it. Glad they are back
 
Nor is radio what it used to be - widely listened to with personalities that people loyally tuned in to for years, on the same station.
