All of you predicting success for W&J are obviously unaware of their history, dating back to when they first got together in Beaumont, TX, at the now-defunt KWIC. Their standard operating procedure is to take a poorly-rated morning slot and chase everyone else away.

I give W&J about 3 months before they move to morning dispatchers on the HPD freq.

So this completely explains why W&J have been on the air in numerous markets for so many years. Johnny, learn the difference between "I don't like this show" and "nobody likes this show and these guys are losers and they suck and they'll be off the air and broke in no time".

Don't get me wrong. I don't like their show and don't listen. But the fact that they are and have been on the air for many years in the same market(s) speaks for itself - unless of course you have some brilliant commentary to explain that also.

I suppose, "...so many years in the same markets," is really a subjective observation, don't you think? Your stretch in NOLA was the longest, but bouncing around from station to station doesn't really constitute success, in my opinion. How many stations there changed formats after you ran them into the toilet - I lost count. BTW, Mikey Costello sez hello!

Really?? I dont recall them on KWIC back then...(but then I was young back then too! I didnt listen to KWIC that much anyway.....they kinda sucked bigtime then.....(one of the few BPT stations I never worked at.....along with KOLE)

I thought W&J were awful. I tuned in today to check it out, you know, keep and open mind. Wow! It was totally sophpmoric. I think my 22 year old son MIGHT enjoy them. I can't imagine their fans listening to talk radio! As an avid, female talk radio fan, 950 has turned their back on me. I have been a faithful listener for 15 years. As they said to Sam Malone............See Ya!!

It doesn't seem right that w&j get awarded morning drive at CC Houston just to $yndicate their show into markets where they are in direct competition with other CC stations and employees.

Would CC Houston be able to provide information to Entercom or Guaranty Broadcasting about CC New Orleans and Baton Rouge? ???

Would that be unethical? Just asking. 8)

CC Houston would be better off without the impression of some Louisiana mafia gangsters.

Hi, I have a question, why do you have pity for them and have always felt sorry for them? I have heard they have a following, but they are not my cup of tea. I have switched my channel, as is my want. I am not a professional radio chick, I just play one at home.

Clear Channel does this everyday with the Premiere Radio Network, which is a Clear Channel company. In Houston Jim Rome is on KILT, a CBS Radio station, directly competeing with KBME, a Clear Channel Station.

Also in other markets, Kidd Craddick, Delilah, etc.
