Just noticed WAMB has a construction permit, granted this spring, to downgrade from 50kW to 10kW days. I would guess this was a cost saving measure, since there wasn't a DA to maintain.
Same here. Not sure if it has anything to do with the sale to Moody or not. They did file an app to move one of its translators and increase power and from a photo I saw a month or so ago, it seems they didn't waste any time moving the translator.
EDIT: Moody's now is the licensee of WAMB. Dated on the 10th and filed yesterday:
WAMB TEMPORARY STA
THE LICENSEE JUST ACQUIRED THE STATION AND HAS TAKEN IT SILENT TO IMPLEMENT NEEDED REPAIRS ON THE TECHNICAL FACILITES FOR WAMB. UPON COMPLETION OF REPAIRS IT WILL BE RETURNED TO OPERATION.
New call sign is WFCN
I am getting WFCN on 98.7 in Forest Hills, but usually get the Hoptown station from points further west. I am an occasional listener to WHOP, but usually drop them this time of year due to Christmas music. You mean 98.7? Well, probably none in Clarksville, because that translator only has a true coverage area from Donelson to downtown Nashville.
