WAMS ON LINE?

Does anyone know what happended to WAMS on the internet? It is something else now.

Check it out

http://www.wamsoldies.com/

I'm down in Dover and while tuning around the AM dial I came on 1600 playing non-religious music. Listening further I found it was symalcasting WAMS. Their webstream confirmed this. Does anyone know how long this has been going on? ???

Sorry if this is old news, I just tuned in today. :'(

Andy
Fan of oldies on AM, the way I remember them. :D

1600 Dover is now broadcasting on FM via translator at 98.7 in Dover. The 70's will run until Monday night. Look for a full return to local Oldies sometime in November.

I thought translators had to run the programming from the station they were translating. Today, 9/1/08 at 1PM EDT, the FM (98.7) is running religious music while the AM (1600) has WAMS oldies. Saying Heaven 1600 on the FM only invites verification by listeners. ::)

P.S.: It doesn't help when

has a listener link for Winamp playing the AM oldies with the banner
:::|::: 98.7 and 1600 WXXY

Even if they (98.7) were translating the AM, is this legal yet?

I'm guessing they may be translating WXXY-FM (88.7 FM) - Port Republic, NJ on 98.7 as that would be legal. Yea, I'll give them TBOTD. ;D

They should say that to dispel lingering doubt. :-\
