WAMS Sold

Both owners wanted out. The license has been sold pending FCC approval. New owners will LMA the station starting around Aug. 15th until the sale is approved. The previous ownership will retain the WAMS call sign for a new station in the area.

The only new station I could think of, would be if somehow Vince convinced the State of Delaware to sell him 1380 where he could then return the WAMS calls to their rightful place at 1380. If he manages to do that, that would be great, not just because it would be great to have the Oldies back at 1380 WAMS Wilmington rather than 1260 WAMS Newark, but it would take that tax drain that the citizens of Delaware fund as the state operates that waste air space called DELDOT radio.

When will the application show up in the FCC's CDBS Database? I don't see it yet....
