WANE-TV News Reporter Gets DUI

I was looking around for this on Facebook...
Megan's station Facebook profile is missing, but her bio is still up on wane.com; wonder if she's going to stay on WANE? (I'm thinking they have a pretty tight policy about this kind of incident, so I'm betting she'll be out the door.) Good reporter too, but unlucky...unfortunately.

LeeAnn Okuly moved to the Sinclair ABC station in Dayton.
Drew said a goodbye and was saluted by the WANE team; LeeAnn I didn't even hear about it until I went looking and found her in Dayton.
WANE has 3 meteorologists now...they HAD 4. Does a station in a market like Fort Wayne NEED 4? I don't think so. But they're both good talent, as is Megan.
And so far Megan's bio has stayed on WANE's website but her Facebook link on it is dead, so it leads me to thinking she's suspended or just did it to get away from the jackholes around Fort Wayne that love when this happens.
On that end, wonder if she'll be calling Mary Collins and Marti Wright for advice??? (YES THAT WAS LOW. But SOMEBODY was going to go there...)

"What's wrong with media people in this city" Folks, I have some bad news: Media personalities are people too. They make mistakes and stupid decisions daily. Yet, we're quick to crucify them because they're "held to a higher standard." That's hogwash. They're talking head on the TV or voices on the radio. They are not gods. They are not role models. Give it a break, folks.

Yeah so Megan broke the law. We've noted it here and I hope she's going to get past it.

Whether the members of the media like it or not, they ARE held to a higher standard, not just by the audience, but normally by their employers. If Mary and Marti were working where I work, there's a pretty good chance they would still have their jobs, because as long as you get to work every day and do you job, your pesonal life is of little concern to the owners. BUT, if you are a media member, and every time you get in the least bit of trouble it WILL be news, you run the risk of being suspended or fired. That alone should be enough for these people to modify their behavior accordingly. Whether media members like it or not, for professional reasons they would be best served by 1) Not consuming alchohol in public, and 2) never getting behind the wheel if you do. After seeing a few of their comrads go down in flames, you would THINK, that these supposedly smart people would figure it out.
FYI: tonight (3/25/2013) I saw Megan on the WANE Nightcast at 11.
