Wanna Hear A Great Talk Show!!!

There is a great talk show in Orlando that CC should syndicate in Boston. If you have a chance log on to realradio.fm click "listen live" (Mon-Fri 11am-3pm). Shannon Burke has a great talk show. Very entertaining. It is on Clear Channel's Real Radio 104.1 (WTKS). The whole station has entertaining shows that I think should be heard up this way.

All you've said here is "I like Shannon Burke."

XM already carries the Monsters and Phillips Phile. Where would CC even put this show in Boston?

Ive heard Shannon Burke on one of XM's talk channels. I was none too impressed. To be honest I wasnt impressed with anybody on that channel.
Shannon must be trying to get syndicated to the Boston area huh? Random posts praising out of market talk show hosts just dont pop up. I sincerely doubt the PD's at WTTK, and WRKO, will drop Rush Limbaugh, and Bill O'Reilly for Shannons show. Maybe WKOX can squeeze Shannon in, same company anyways.

Uh.... (scratching my head)

Actually, after checking all messages by the original poster, this is the only board it was posted on. I don't think it's spam, just a very poorly written message, that's all. Perhaps the original post should be moved to the Talk radio board?

But not spam, sorry.

Re: Spam-I think not

First... I do not work for Shannon Burke. I used to live in Orlando and thought Shannon had a very compelling and entertaining show. I personally think that WTKS in Orlando has great shows that should be heard in other areas including Boston.

What pisses me off about this board is that people are very negative on here and dont give people a chance to be heard. The minute someone praises a show or station, 30 other people come on with negative comments. It is sickening.

I would say 25% of the people on these boards are wannabe jocks, college kids, and punks who have nothing to say but negative responses. The people who post positive things on this website are employees of Record Labels, CC,Infinity,Cox and etc. This website should only be available to working radio/label people. This way we wouldnt need to have moderators to baby sit the wannabees.

So...you dropped in to the Boston radio board. And placed an "unsolicited endorsement" for a show that has NOTHING to do with Boston radio. You even gave a url for everyone to come listen to your favorite show.

That...is spam. Like it, or not.

You are spreading the word of a show that's not here. Hoping that someone in a programming capacity might see your spam, and possibly sign up the host in question.

Rocko allegedly had a compelling show in Orlando too.

Nah, I don't think so.

Did he mass post it? No.

Is he selling something? No.

Did he post somethig off topic? No. (This is a radio message board with opinions.)

Did he send it to you unsolicited? Nope!

And he's right about the negativity on this board. No one can say they *like* anything without a bunch of people taking shots at the topic/poster.

Lighten up!

Re: Spam-I think not

Dear Junkie:

Relax. If you have been spending time on these boards, maybe you know that every once in a while someboy tries to do "stealth promotion" by posting fake testimonials. Your post was very general, and so are the fake posts for the most part. You say this board should be only for working radio people but your original post sounds more like that of fan.

If Shannon Burke is pursueing syndication, the syndication company has sales people out making the case to stations that they will make money with her program. Compelling and entertaining don't matter; the sales track record for her program matters (including but not limited to her audience data).
