Want a show? Do Drugs! Hello Greggo!

So.... If you want to be a talk show host in DFW you must: Get fired from the top rated sports talk show in the market for a terrible drug habit, along with lying about just about everything including being a former minor league baseball player. Then get another shot at ESPN, just to be fired again for more drug use, get picked up by a show nobody ever heard of (BDH) to again be let go because you can't stay straight, then finally go to work with a guy with little or no talent to start a new Texas sports talk network, and then screw that up by wrecking the guys car, and asking for crazy money, along with leaving a show to build a deck for $10 an hour... What does all of that get you? A show on 105.3 with the guy who has no journalistic ethics, and has been your media spokesman since your drug problem started... AMAZING!

It is The Fan. What did you expect? A good programming decision?

I like the show- Richie and Greggo are good together. I flip back and forth between Bob and Dan and 105.3. I have always liked Greggo (but LOVE the snake and Rhynes), and wish him all the luck in the world.

Couple of weeks in... Thoughts?

From what little I've heard, this might actually be one of the best working situations Greggo has been in since getting back into radio after everything that happened.

That being said, it's still not very good.

As long as Richie continues his Chris Farley impersonation with Greggo, ("You remember that time?" "That was cool."(
the show will be nothing more than a sideshow. And that sums up the fan.
Greggo's Jumk, White Truck Wednesday, 1% Club (dumbest radio bit ever) all are lame. Richie is better than this. I thought.
I think he's trying to hit a homerun with this. When in fact he should have tried to ease into it.
Sadly it's better than that crap on afterwards. That Gavin guy may be the worst new guy in this area in a long time. So over the top.

ditto

OK tried it.... Terrrrrible, I mean awful. Greggo should go back to being high, at least that was funny. Who ever told Rich he had a clue? That show would have been bad on the old 990, much less a legit CBS station. They have NO idea what they are doing over there.... NONE

In Greggo's defense, Richie Witt is hardly the world's best broadcast partner. While both could be contributers, neither can carry a show and it shows.
