Want fries with that riff?

Rock 100 jock cues up Led Zep Whole Lotta Love and proceeds to walk all over the opening riff - reading McDonalds 15 ad copy.....pathetic.

What isn't pathetic. The Fan @ 680 and 100.5 Here we come!

That is pathetic. I would much prefer Global Imports BMW copy.

I believe that any changes for the Fan would have taken place at the start of the Braves season. I could be wrong but it looks like 93.7 will stay with 680.

Touche Roddy - but not even Butler Tire copy in this case. the rule is: No talk over music unless the topic is music. And with a signature riff the into is :00...the topic of branding a Classic Rock format correctly is a whole different thread.

I was being silly.

Not going to happen. How would the money be split between the Dickeys and Cumulus?

Aren't the Braves simulcast on 680 and 100.5? For the Dickeys to determine a revenue split, wouldn't they just have to meet with...themselves?

yes and no. You have to be somewhat careful when dealing with the IRS when two different corporations are splitting revenue. There should be a contract. Cumulus is not a subsidiarity of Dickey Brothers (yet). Cumulus is a publicly held company:

and Lew only owns 5%

Did you guys know that the CEO of Dicky and the CEO of cumulus are brothers? One Dicky station is even in the same building as all the other cumulus stations.

I am sure (or at least sure they are supposed to!) that they have to operate Cumulus and Dickey Broadcasting at the proverbial "arm's length" and contract everything properly in writing and pay for everything at fair market value.  If the IRS doesn't care the SEC and the holders of CMLS I am sure would, not to mention the institutional and other investors in Cumulus Radio Investors (and, previously, CMP).

If 100.5 were to start simuling 680, they (Cumulus and Dickey) would probably just make it easy on themselves and LMA 100.5 to Dickey. Note that this would have NO effect on the 8/5 FCC station limit in the ATL market, since Cumulus and Dickey have to count each other's stations because of the shared control.

Not only in the same building, but in the same space. And it's all 3 Dickey stations; 1230 and 1340 don't have studios.

WFOM and WIFN do have studios alongside WCNN. Since they're normally automated, those studios are primarily used for production purposes, but they do have fully equipped broadcast studios.
