...just for the heck of it.

1. How is Vanderpool doing in terms of ratings and sales against Rivers and the rest of the morning competition? Is his trend improving, flat or down?

2. How is Stacey Ireland solo doing on ratings and sales compared to what Slayton did in that KZOK slot and compared to Ireland / Connors? How is Slayton on KJR doing against Ireland and the others in afternoon drive?

3. Any like Marco Collins' fill-ins on the Mountain? Do you think they should use him more? Will they make another big move (in music mix or air-staff) before the end of next year?

4. Gen-X, Click and anything else that recently debuted, do they all make it to 2013 or do you think any of them change again before then?

5. Does KJR go holiday music again this year? Have they pretty much settled on what their regular music mix is going to be or is it going to evolve further and in which direction?

6. Are Ron & Don's ratings stable, trending up or down? Any reactions to the additions provided by Rachel Bell?

Afraid I can't help on the topics you threw out there...but I can add one to the list. Curious about reactions to k-MMMMMM-p-s. Sounds to me like they are going after the Wolf by trying to sound just like them ... which was once a significant no-no in programming philosophy. When you're the legendary leader ... stay the course. Were they slipping that much in recent books? The whole k-MMMMMMM-p-s imaging thing is also kind of messing with something that wasn't broken (though they seemed to like calling themselves "new" in recent months).

I heard him last week. Keep him.

1. Not completely sure how Vanderpool's numbers are doing, but he certainly has his work cut out for him. Anyone would in his position. The morning music lovers that I've talked to are lovin' it.

2. Stacy Ireland's afternoon numbers have been solid since Slayton left KZOK. Once he went on the air at KJR, I hear she's basically been makin' his lunch and eating it too! By the way...that's Stacy without an (e). Her former partner Nate Conners is doing very well in evenings.

Personally, I miss the Ireland/Conners afternoon combo, but putting Conners in the evening slot was certainly a good move.

I hope they stick with Vanderpool and music. I much prefer that to Rivers' yakfest, which usually turns me off fairly quickly because of many lame pop topics (and not enough local), too much from secondary voices and lack of interest in many of the guests chosen.

I still listen to Stacy's show for the music but I find myself turning away more often from the gab than I used to.

I agree with Bongwater, Marco seems to me like a good choice for the Mountain. To shake it up some. Probably needs to be shook more, but they probably aren't ready to do so yet.

Holiday music blows IMO; so if KJR goes for it again. I'll just turn them completely off for months again.

I'll tune by Ron & Don, mainly to hear Rachel Bell. I think she is an appealing personality / talent.

Was he sober?

He was. He laid off that crap long ago. As long as he has a good circle of support, he should do fine.

Remember, Pat O'Day (and many other jocks) had their demons too......And they rose above them.

Marco can too.
