Looking at the Summer Book

Persons 25-54: #10
TSL (time spent listening) tied for 25th

Persons 18-49: #7
TSL tied for 26th

Persons 35 + : tied for 11th
TSL tied for 15th

Men 18 + : tied for 19th
TSL tied for 27th

Women 18 + : tied for 7th
TSL tied for 23rd

Noting spectacular anywhere and KRBE trounced them in every demo.

Personally, I couldn't care less about them (in listener terms) because I never listen to the station or their show all that often. A gigglebox and a Seacrest wannabe aren't my cup of tea. To each their own though. I am glad you liked them and at least have passion for their show. But the facts are still the facts.

well for one KRBE is KRBE, KHMX can't compete with that market, because of the music they played, morning show by itself without the music, Roula And Ryan was way better than Maria Todd & Atom, can't see them beating R&R, your not judging on the same playing field.

KRBE needs a Morning Show!

This is typical of the industry, I have to laugh at it (The Roula and Ryan situation) b/c it's a never ending circle. That's why I'm not in it. Radio needs its own reality show! Especially from Choke Channel. What's really going on?












Doesn't KRBE need a morning show?



Roula and Ryan should do a Podcast or do a live stream on their website? Have the listeners support'em?

No, I am. They both are going after the same audience. Women 18-34. By the way, the numbers I posted ARE for Morning Drive ONLY! Not the station overall. Those were the Mon-Fri 6 am to 10 am numbers. I should have said that when I posted them.

R&R By the #'s

Pretty good trick with the #'s since the summer book hasn't even been released. Also, you listed demos that were not the $$$ demos that KHMX bills with. You obviously don't know how to read a book either. You are full of sh**. When the book does come out, I will give you the real #'s. Atom and Maria are failing miserably and the programmers who are on this board know. I also suspect the programmers who don't care for certain shows, post those skewed bogus #'s on this site. Maybe if those numbnuts spent more time programming their stations than sitting on a radio board with us radio liteweights, they might be able to do a better job. (Tracey, Ken, Mark, Buddy). I have never heard a more lame market in my life and with the return of tired old retread crap like Sam Malone, it just got worse.

Well who knows maybe Clear Channel does have a plan, still the listeners should know what happens to who they have been listening to for three + years, even if the numbers were low, and I think that can be attributed to people flipping the dial and listening to a variety of different shows. Come on you can't tell me that after Sam left KRBE they were still the top dog in the yard? And what about the Chronicle making "Roula & Ryan" Houston's Best On Air Personalities through the listeners voting, was that just a fluke? Every on air team has their fans, and firing R & R like KHMX/Clear Channel did was a knock against their fans. Had they handled it a little more professionally, maybe there wouldn't be all this Anti-Sam and maybe more of R & R fans would have been more accepting. But when you swoop in and fire someone the fans love and two days later have none the other than Sam Malone on the mic, thats a slap in the face to the R & R listeners. He just alienated alot of people that may have had a chance of becoming his listeners one day. But I guess the Ole "Mighty Sam Malone" can start from scratch and still beat everbody right. Come on. I won't be listening to find out.

Those are Summer Phase II numbers, only 3 weeks old.

Do you actually see the target demo???
Not listed.

BTW....R&R outperformed their poorly programmed station.
They were the ONLY weapon against KRBE.

Let's see if Sam Malone connects with the audience.
If not.....maybe old tapes of Steve Lundy will work.
