Do you have any radio ratings books from prior to 1980, or know someone who does? Please reply or PM me if you have any old ARB or Hooper books. I'm more than happy to get scans or copies, and am even willing to pay if you're willing to part with them.

I am search for some too, along with ratings prior to 1998 for Houston, San Antonio, and Austin markets.

I have ratings for all of those markets going back to 1980, with some sporadic numbers prior to that. Let me know if there's anything specific you're looking for.

Ratings for KTFM, KMMX, KITY, KSAQ, KFAN, KLLS, KONO, and KSMG for San Antonio
Ratings for KUAM, KKBQ, KFMK, KRBE, KNRJ, KMJQ, KHYS, KRLY for Houston
Ratings for KKMJ, KEYI, KFGI, KLTD 98.9, 96.7, 98.1, 93.3 for Austin.

Are they available online?

Thanks so much.

Check out my fellow radio historian David Gleason's website for historical information online.

He graciously digitized my collection of R&R Ratings Directories, which are now contained on his website here. This will get you numbers going back the early 90s:
http://www.americanradiohistory.com/R&R_directories.htm

To go further back, he has some of the market recaps published by James Duncan available here:
http://www.davidgleason.com/radio_research2.htm
Just click on the market to see recaps going back in most instances to 1975. Unfortunately the numbers are two-book averages from each year's Spring and Fall books, so you won't be able to see numbers for individual books (which is what I am in search of.)
