Wanted RCA or Western Electric Transmitters

I am looking for RCA and Western Electric transmitters, preferably in the Texas or Louisiana area. I'm located in East Texas. Ill take just about anything from a 250 watts to 50KW depending on what model it is. If you guys know of any of these boxes in this area please let me know. AM ONLY ! I have a highly trained team of removal specialists standing by (in other words friends that I am forcing to do this).

Remember TV and FM are just fads, AM is the only true medium. I will go buy a color TV when they finally perfect it. Until then my DuMont works fine!

RCA ALL THE WAY!

I suspect I might be one of the people who is on the "hernia list" if somebody tells you where some heavy metal is located. Since your DuMont works fine, maybe you'd like to come over and fix a couple of mine? ;D

I am always looking for DuMont broadcast equipment.....

I have nice Du Mont scope from about 1955, and the manual....A real manual with service info.
It was working just fine last I tried a year ago....'course it only goes up to audio frequencies. :-\

I don't give money to beer companies, I know why Budweiser really has the Clydesdales.......After all I did work at Sea World. But a cigar and a glass of wine I'll do that, and if its a 50KW then ill buy at least a pizza. But I'm glad to see you volunteer Chuck! Ill see you at CiCi's then transmitter time.

Would KTOK like to get rid of the RCA, and do you know what model it is?

If it's pizza first, then it will be nap time. Better to move the unmovable first, eat later....

At one time they wanted it removed. The TAB expressed intrest but appearently they never came to pick it up. Since the digital stuff was put in I think some of the old beast had to be disassembled but I *THINK* all the parts are still there. I'd call the OKC engineers and see what their thoughts are on it at this point. Honestly I don't know.

Get hold of Paul Reynolds T Cox in San Antonio, and ask him if the Western 50 is still in the clkosed old building. It's the old KKYK 50KW. Vandals may have trashed it by now though.
