Anyone know a good talk radio host? I am currently interviewing for a position and want to make sure that I leave no stone unturned.

Ed Clancy. All around good talker, and all around good guy. Dependable. Knows Lousiana. Available. Last with WGSO, but don't hold that against him,
 
Kenny Hazelett. Years of experience IN THE LAFAYETTE MARKET on KPEL, KSMB, KVOL (back in the day). Knows the audience. Also currently available. Or do you intend to punish him forever for one brief lapse in judgement? People CAN recover from these things - think Limbaugh/Vicodin.

Kenny Hazelett was convicted for carnal knowledge of a juvenile. The girl was 14 and his friends admit he was 48 at the time and Kenny has admitted his guilt. Media sources said Kenny professed to be in love with this 14 year old girl.
He is blackballed from radio as anyone is who is convicted of a felony, especially when it involves the rape of a child.
He'll never work in radio again. Seriously, isn't he about ready for Social Security anyway?
I thought Rush was into Oxycontin, but I don't think he recovered either! :

In general people tend to go to radio to recover their image ie: Jim Brown, Rod Blagojevich and Eliott Spitzer are ones that I can think. I could also see Edwin Edwards hosting his own show once he got out of prison.

I don't know who appointed you "King of Great Majesty," but I would point out that many people have resurrected their reputations in this world. I mean, look at Bill Clinton.

And as for the social security remark, I would direct your attention to Larry King.

If it were up to Your Majesty, yes, Kenny would probably be blackballed from The Business (such as it is) forever. Fortunately, such is not the case. In fact, Kenny has been happily working in radio for Lo! these 11 years since his unfortunate indiscretion. Beware, lest stones be cast in the direction of THY throne.

Bill Clinton did not have sex with a minor. Kenny Hazelett was convicted of having sex with a 14 year old girl that was about the same age as his own daughter.
I have not kept up with Kenny over the years. What station does he work for now? What's his position? I just assumed that he was out of radio because of his public disgrace. He should be.

Maybe I'll just move this discussion to some criminal justice websites as well as his hometown newspaper. I bet many of any listeners he has would be glad to know this info.
I would also like to contact the family of the victim, who is now an adult to get their input Kenny's defenders attacking the victim of a sexually based crime.

What ever you do stay away from Gerry V ! If anyone calls about him hang up the phone ! I'm telling you as a concerned citizen. I have to deal with him everyday and believe me it ain't easy. I saw him kick Bernie Madoff in the groin and waterboard him for information ! Oh have mercy avoid this man.
