Looking for a good FM modulator or exciter with LR inputs and stereo built in if possible....COULD do a composite in if I have to and use an external stereo generator ..but this is to put in my house for a local RF feed from the PC...with used Radiax...and keeping it legal ;) The cheapo Blekin one is too noisy and I want something a little better BUT not too expensive...and can go the entire band....I have a local TV6 so 87.9 is out of the question...

Check these people out...I've used the TX180A with an Optimod 8000A as a modulator & it is quiet...just use it with a switching power supply...it will hum with a wall-wart. Haven't used their $35 stereo generator, but if it's of similar quality to the TX180A, it should be OK.
 
Hi,

If you are even moderately adept with a soldering iron, Ramsey is the way to go. Put mine together in under two hours and use an external power supply. I am using it in the same application (PC to FM radio).

I also run a 900 Mhz remote speaker application (just the Xmtr and Rcvr) for getting for the cable box to a stereo Aux in. Works fine as well (and the entire neighborhood is less likely to be listening).
