Wanting "Dropbox" app. for private server

I have been searching for applications that will sync files to a server and other computers.... identical to what Dropbox does.....

The goal is to have a private 'cloud' and real time file copies at the transmitter and other locations....

Setup an FTP server (Filezilla will do nicely).

Run Second Copy ($39 per license) on the machines and point them at the FTP.

Works very well.

We get 200 gb cloud storage for only $50 per year from safecopybackup.com. They have a sale once per year right before the end of the year where you can purchase the same capacity for only $10 for one year (additional $10 orders get you multiple years at $10 for year year). However, I don't use their software because I don't care for it. Instead we use the free Allwaysync software. Gives you plenty of options and seems pretty reliable, thus far.

I hated my Drobo... It isn't compatible with Windows 7 Backup and causes some long (20 minute) boot times if you use it for that too.

My comment on the FTP and Second Copy was from experience. It is cheap. 100% uptime for me.
