An ad in the Feb 4 Catholic Accent announces Mass from Blessed Sacrament Cathedral will be broadcast on all three stations on Sunday Feb 14. Anyone have any other info on the startup of these stations, lineup, etc.? Apparently a three station simulcast. Is it going to be Relevant Radio or EWTN Radio, or what?

What time is this broadcast?

Clarke,
The ad said the Mass starts at 11:30 AM, but the broadcast begins at 11 AM. Not sure what 11-11:30 will be. Haven't seen any publicity on the station or broadcast other than this small ad in the Catholic Accent newspaper yesterday.

I haven't seen any publicity for the station(s) either, although I'd heard they would start out by broadcasting some
occasional Masses.

Well, I'll be listening on 2/14 (although I'm not quite sure why) and waiting to see what happens with their full-time
format. I suspect we'll hear plenty of EWTN.

They broadcast a Mass yesterday on 106.7 and 1510, and now are running a loop promising that they will be on with a PARTIAL program schedule starting March 19. The loop is filled-in with the Gregorian Chant they were using for engineering tests. And it sounds like they
plan to run this loop till 3/19/2010, over a month away!

From the sound of things, WAOB may be the first radio station in Pittsburgh history to draw a negative ratings book.
There is a way to present religious topics in an interesting and engaging way, particularly if you are trying to reach out
to people outside your faith. But from what is being discussed on this loop, WAOB apparently has abolutely no idea how
to go about that. Whoever is running the show over there.....Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen they aint!

My guess is that they don't care.

could be....like the guy who used to play big band records just so he could hear them from his
cart on the golf course

Wow, sounds like horrible programming. They have some great potential of what they could do with that station but seem oblivious in knowing how to do it. Why even bother, you know?

Trying to listen today and tonight and the music is distorted. Cant get the stereo to lock up either. SO quality wont stand in their way. Too bad- some of that music is quite beautiful even if you don't like their message. The message from WAOB (We are one body), WAOB (We are one body), WAOB (We are one body), WAOB (We are one body) whew sounds like Allah (peace be upon him), Allah (peace be upon him), Allah (peace be upon him) Good grief. I think the comment about a negative rating is on target.

Head on- (apply directly to the forehead), Head on- (apply directly to the forehead), Head on- (apply directly to the forehead), Head on- (apply directly to the forehead)

When will the tribute site be up with origional airchexx.

any idea out there what the average book numbers are for The Rosary?

I liked the live and remote they did. The DJ's dress was great , but his purse was on fire.
