WAPE tower site

After looking at the FCC database, it appears that WAPE does have a back-up site at the Hogan Rd. tower farm in the event the stick goes out downtown.

With that said, I'm curious why WAPE doesn't use Hogan all the time and ditch downtown.

If memory serves correctly, doesn't Renda own the downtown stick? I would think Cox would like to avoid leasing a space. But, then I guess where would a backup go?

I believe a Renda engineer lurks on this board, can ya shed some light?

The downtown tower site is owned by Big League Tower Partners.

Big League Tower Partners is a joint venture between Renda and Cox with each owning 50%.
