However, Audacy is not being sold to George Soros. It is being sold to an investment company he controls, but does not fully own. The issues here involve the rather recent (last few decades) prevalence of shares in publicly traded companies being held under "street names" rather than being directly owned in nominative shares.
So you can speak for everyone in this thread, about for they feel about Carr & DJT? I don’t see much cheerleading for either since November 5th.Nobody “hates” anybody. That’s not what this is about.

I don’t want nothing, but to be able to voice my opinion, like everyone else. People here must be scared of Carr and all they can do is spread misinformation and gaslight, the FCC will be going thru some changes in the next 4 years. This isn't a political cheerleader board. You want a politics board not a radio board.
I'm not suggesting that either of their "rabble rousing" statements is accurate. I'd be surprised were Carr not to know about the intricacies of the proposed transaction; I suspect that he is oversimplifying the whole situation by using inaccurate but easier to understand terms for non -business people.None of that is mentioned by Bozell or Carr.
He won’t be alone in that. That comment about an "unprecedented shortcut" suggests that Carr really doesn't understand how the agency he will be leading actually works.

Why do you keep speaking for everyone else? This will be my last comment in this thread, so you can go ahead post away. It's not "misinformation" when we use exact quotes and documented facts.
Why do you keep speaking for everyone else?
My concern is that there is more partisan politics than actual facts behind holding up the transfer. That politicizes the FCC which has generally been one of the agencies with the least political agendas. The idea of expanding the FCC into content and other regulation of the Internet scares me more than Soros being allowed to buy a controlling interest in one money-losing radio company.
“Once these new station owners get a hold of these licenses, which they’re doing either now or very soon from now, they can make any changes they want in terms of the format or the programming.” This change could have a direct impact on conservative voices currently on these stations, such as Joe Pags, Sean Hannity, and Mark Levin.

Let's spare ourselves digging around technicalities just to drive a moot point again. Not yet. Under the terms of the fcc approval, he has no equity yet.
I disagree. You talked about Carr and Elon Musk in a "whataboutism" context to showcase political affiliations. From the very beginning, you made it a subtle political argument. This isn't a political cheerleader board. You want a politics board not a radio board.
"Nobody" is a plural term.I'm posting for me.
Let's spare ourselves digging around technicalities just to drive a moot point again.
Because to Carr, he says Audacy got a shortcut because of politics. He says decisions at the FCC were made based on last name. It starts with him making that observation.I disagree. You talked about Carr and Elon Musk in a "whataboutism" context to showcase political affiliations.
Again, it's semantics. Even the article you provided doesn't refute or address such technicalities. How Carr characterized the transition of ownership is a misnomer everyone understood. The law is all about technicalities. If you disagree, then just say you disagree. It’s not “moot,” it’s in the agreement, and it’s factually correct.
But how does that pertain to Elon Musk?Because to Carr, he says Audacy got a shortcut because of politics. He says decisions at the FCC were made based on last name. It starts with him making that observation.
Yes. I’m done. It's time to move on.
