"In one e-mail released by Spitzer, a Warner Bros. Records employee described the program director of Infinity's WAQZ-FM (97.3) in Cincinnati as "a wh0re" — the implication being that airplay on his station was, in effect, for sale."

(the censor here bleeped out 'wh0re', so that's my intentional misspelling)
Edited by justanobserver on 11/29/05 06:35 AM.

Rut-roh, Raggy! What will Fred and Daphne say??

Kind of explains how that station stays viable, though. If it's true, that is.

This deal works both ways. Music directors non-R&R reporting stations are virtually ignored by record promoters. You have to beg and plead just to get on-air giveaway items like CDs and concert tickets.

Meanwhile, MDs at R&R reporting stations get stuff thrown at them, even if the MD doesn't want the stuff.
