WARM and ROZ flipped within minutes of each other like last year, but they're in good company, apparently, so did B101 in Philly, and Jerry Lee's no fool. I wonder about Mix 106.7? I'd think they'd stick to their thing, even tilt it a bit, mixing in some Christmas tunes. Opinions?

I noticed that while streaming 101.3. I love Christmas music, but it is a bit too soon, in my opinion. I would prefer that they mix the Christmas music in gradually, at least until after Thanksgiving. That way, we wouldn't all tire of it so quickly...

I wonder how the all Xmas tunes are going to work out. There are a lot of places to get 24 hour Christmas music these days..

I never "got it" but, I know a lot of people that get really happy when the Christmas songs come back.

So, who was first to flip? My guess - WARM.

The idea of early all-Christmas music started after 9/11, in order to aurally distract listeners from the non-stop coverage of that tragic day and boost spirits. Turns out it was a cash cow, so many stations do it to this day.

Rob, this must be the stuff of "Urban Legend." One of our AC FMs began the All-Christmas thing in 2000 and we were far from being the first. As I recall, the tactic nationally dates well back into the nineties.

I miss the old days when we'd all go crazy on this board speculating about what format they were going to flip too after the holidays...

Good times....
