I make a connection with listeners that is genuine and earned. I'm warm, friendly and clearly having fun on the air while talking about the things that matter to them, wether its local info or life observations. I've sounded so local at some jobs, I've had listeners show up to the stations wanting to meet me!
I approach every station/situation individually and there is no one size fits all. I've got demos and I've got references/recommendations, not only from people in the industry but my listeners. How many DJ's would offer up listeners as references? I will.
