Kiko Washington of the Human Resources division at Warner Brothers to retire

Kiko Washington, Warner Bros. Entertainment’s executive vice president of worldwide human resources, is retiring at the end of 2020 after 35 years with the company.

“I am so lucky to have spent the last 35 years with HBO and Warner Bros., two very successful companies with incredibly special cultures,” said Washington. “And, while I worked all over the world for those great organizations, I am so much luckier now. I get to spend more time with my family, Jewels, Austin and Bianca!”

Washington has held his most recent role since 2009, managing the company’s global HR department, including organizational planning and development, recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee training and development, employee relations, employee communications, shared services and work-life initiatives.

Since the NBA games that was scheduled for tonight was cancelled at the last minute due to the bucks refusing to play due to the problems in WI maybe AT&T (and Disney) will seriously look for a way to cancel their contracts with the NBA.

FYI it was more than just the NBA. Women's basketball and 3 major league baseball gamed were also canceled tonight.

Should ESPN also cancel the MLB contract whenever a game gets rained out?

It’s an end of an era at Warner Bros. as Peter Roth, one of the most accomplished TV executives of the past couple of decades, will be leaving the independent television studio in early 2021 after 22 years.

Roth was upped to his current role as Chairman of the Warner Bros. Television Group in February when he signed a one-year extension to his most recent contract which was up in summer 2020. That was envisioned as the final chapter in Roth’s Warner Bros. TV tenure, whose course was changed dramatically when, a month after Roth re-upped his deal, the coronavirus pandemic hit, halting production and all other essential Hollywood activities, like in-person meetings, lunches, premieres and press junkets.

Peter Roth will leave Warner Brothers in 2021.
