WARQ Stunting

I remember asking the very question last year when Alpha sold to connoisseur. Even as a value added sale with Big DM, and Hot 103.9/93.9 with no ears listening there's really no value. Wonder what this new format will be. Any URL detectives in da house?

I wonder if they will keep Anna & Raven? On Live 93.5's facebook page, Anna & Raven posted today about playing feel good songs all weekend. Will it be a Hot Adult Hits feel good type station? The music they are playing now seems to make us think that. We will see.

Switch Alt over to 93.5 from 99.7 and something new on the W259CL translator ? ...

... Something new to compete with 106.7 WTCB
& 98.5 WOMG & 96.7 WLTY (with a similar format) ?

ooh can't wait ... Tho we need something like this in the Upstate for sure.

My favorite station in Columbia is still LP WXRY 99.3

Call me "crazee" and I know this is technically a stunt, but im digging what im hearing! I could see this being actually a good format that goes very well with Big DM as it doesn't step on each other's toes yet could be a good combo sale for 25 to 54 year old demo.

Looking at Anna and Raven's web page- they are on a whole variety of formats around the country. They seem versatile enough to fit pretty much whatever this one ends up being.

Rhythmic AC might be a contender, but it’s notable that non-urban gold based stations don’t do that great in Columbia. WOMG, WTCB, WFOX, and WLTY are decent examples.

It’s actually a shame Live 93.5 never caught on. I liked it.

(Maybe them and 1110 AM 's stunt in Charlotte will fare better 'Post-WBT' after it moved to FM).

Yea wow , and hey that reminds me ..
My favorite 'Stunt' of all time was when 107.3 in Atlantic City NJ first signed on ..

They kept playing "Tubthumping" for 24+ hours nonstop, back in Spring 1998. 😂 They debuted a CHR format as ZZ 107, The Zipper, and then Fun 107 (WZZP) which seemed like a great station, for a few weeks, but it turns out it was all just a very long stunt ... it flipped to Country as WPUR, 'Cat Country' .. whose format & brand still continues to this day.

Interesting, that "stunt" only went about 2 months,
but it saw a 2.0 rating.

Rhythmic AC could also be sold in conjunction with Hot and even Alt. How would WTCB react to such a move? Hot AC was a disaster for them, and they can’t play much more older music without stepping on ‘OMG.
