WARQ

Today while reading the weekly Sean Ross newsletter he mentioned KUFO in Portland and that connoisseur media was putting some focus on Rock formats. I know they already have rock on 99.7, but do you think they might consider moving it back to 93.5 while moving Live 93.5 to the 99.7 spot. What would you guys like to see happen with WARQ. I know back in the summer it was said nothing would happen, but with the ratings they get it's just not gonna compete against NOK.

WARQ is a well-programmed, well-executed station. It's a mystery to me why they don't have a better showing in the ratings.
Considering CHR’s struggles, and nothing really exciting about the station, Columbia really likes WNOK for some reason. I prefer WARQ as well.

Technically yes. But they are all classic rock. They play some 90s grunge and 90's Alt rock intermittently (Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Offspring). Back in 2014 when Rock 93.5 and Fox 102 merged, Fox did play a lot of post 2000's music. That isn't the case anymore.
I must be remembering how it was, then.

To piggyback further on Alt 99.7, they have recently been adding 80s alternative songs sporadically from bands like Talking Heads, The Clash, Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, Cure, New Order, Violent Femmes and more. These songs are played intermittently throughout the day.
