Warren Buffett is investing $600 million in EW Scripps deal to buy ION Media

Laff is on WZPX .5 and also on Wood TV's .3. Most of the Karz Netwoks are on Nexstar couple on Wood TV Bounce, Laff as I said, WOTV Grit & GetTV, WXSP, Court TV Mystery, Cozi. WXMI Fox17 has Antenna TV which Nexstar now owns with the merger with Tribune in the fall of 2019 kinda surprise that there hasn't ever been a swap with Nexstar & Scripps unless Fox17 will keep Antenna TV since they have been with Antenna TV since day 1 when Tribune launched it in 2010. Court TV is on Fox17 .3 since Oct 28 of 2019 O&O.

Court TV is also 4.3 in KC area Nexstar Station. Could see a News/Weather Sub Channel replace Laff,Newsy replace Grit. 38 the Spot ones don't know.

According to this release INYO Broadcasting will keep the Ion affiliation for the ones they have acquired.

Lots of shuffling headed to Houston as all the Katz networks are peppered around different stations...Bounce on 11.2, Laff on 13.3, Court TV on 39.5, Court TV Mystery on 45.3, and Grit on 67.3. So far only Laff has been added to the local Ion O&O on 49.5.

Same here in Los Angeles...I was channel-surfing the other day, and Laff was already on KPXN 30.5 (and still carried on KABC 7.3)

I think Univision may be the big loser in this scenario, as Bounce, Court TV Mystery, and Grit are carried on Univision/UniMas O&Os in many major markets including both in Houston and Los Angeles. However, Univision/UniMas O&Os still have GetTV, True Crime Network, and Quest on a lot of their stations for the time being.

Nonetheless...ABC, Nexstar, and Univision probably should start getting more creative for programming options (either by creating a new diginet, or even in Disney's case, maybe re-introduce ABC News Live as a subchannel in Laff's place), particularly if they want keep their retransmission revenue for these extra channels.

The contract for Mystery, Bounce, and Grit with Univision, that contract doesn't expire until 2024.
