Warren was also at WBIC-540, WGSM-740 and WGLI-1290/WBLI 106 during his Long Island career (I may be missing a stop or two). Last I heard from him was in 2000 when WNYG was playing oldies again.

Please tell Warren hello. I knew him when I was in high school in the late 70s, but I haven't seen him since a visit to WNYG in 1988 or 89. We used to run into each other at the Bay Shore and Copaigue flea markets and would divide up the territory so we wouldn't be fighting over the same records. In fact, I'm pretty sure Warren was the guy who grabbed that rare Dell Vikings LP I found at the junk store in Bay Shore, when I had to run home to get $3 from my dad to buy it. We'd sometimes get together on Sunday afternoons and compare our weekend "finds." Warren and his "American Gold" show were a big inspiration for me to go into radio (I'm out now, but it was a good run). Great memories.
