Buffalo Warsaw's WCJW Sold!

This is really a Finger Lakes story, but there's no prefix for that. WCJW and its network of translators has been sold to a God squadder. Does this mean the end of the country format that's served the area so well for a long time? Read more here:

No matter what the format is to come, I would like to congratulate owner Lloyd Lane and his team for operating this radio station the way radio should be done. Lloyd should be extremely proud of WCJW, as I know the sweat he and his team put into WCJW for so long. He and his wife have put their heart and soul into always doing the right thing, always, not just as a radio person, but as a humanitarian. He avoided the pundits, the negativity, and made WCJW a very successful operation. He's a gentleman in every sense of the word, has overcome adversity, and has made the purpose of a local station his life's work.

Congratulations to Lloyd and his team on building something that when he looks in the mirror everyday, he'll know he completed a job well done, and gave it everything he had.

Interesting deal. If I'm reading the APA correctly, the Buyer is purchasing the station(s) for a $6,250 deposit and then monthly payments of the same amount for 10 years. And the supposed purchase price of $750,000 includes the interest on the note. Assuming the station continues to bill well, it's essentially paying for itself with virtually nothing out of pocket.
