Was Dan Patrick on?

Rooke and Halloran have been doing mornings. The more I think about this, it really seems stupid to figure the 6am duo had any leverage at all. (unless of course the new network became a reality).
There are just so many options for EEI: D&C should get this done and be happy they aren't on ESPN 890.

Dan Patrick is on this morning. In my humble opinion, he's been the best fill-in so far. He seems to be adamant about not wanting the full time job, but what else can he say? He and Dickerson wouldn't be too bad, though Dickerson seems to try too hard to make everyone believe that he's a real insider. Too bad they couldn't end the border war with the Globe. Bob Ryan would be perfect.

Rooke and Halloran weren't very good, but certainly way better than Mustard and Johnson, I think that they were each trying to see who could be the funnier and it didn't work. I've heard them seperately and they were much better than they showed when together.

Personally, I have an intense dislike for Callahan and I hope he never comes back and it has nothing to do with his politics.

Patrick made a few errors this morning. One was to suggest that Luchino and the RS could make some kind of move to acquire Dye. The RF just singed an extention with the WSox. I only heard an hour but it was only so-so.

Patrick was pretty good again today, but I can't see him dealing with the idiot callers like Frank form Gloucester, Tony from Bridgewater, the screecher from Quincy et al. Meter's increased participation only heightens the urge to choke the living s*** out of him though. If D&C go, I hope Meter and the "headlines" section go with them.

Meter seems like he talks out of the side of his mouth and tries to put on a "radio" voice. I don't listen to WEEI in the mornings anymore though, they're rotating cast of characters has just become obnoxious. Just stick with one set and tough it out, but apparantley it is working, WEEI does have some of the best ratings in Boston.
