So I was driving through Cinci and I REALLY liked their new station 94.9 The Sound. What a refreshing change of pace to our CD101 and The Blitz. The Sound reminded me of Channel Z from back in the day. The only negative thing I can say about the station might be the imaging and the DJ's. The DJ's kind of remind me of what we have here at CD101. Overall, I think a format like that would work very well in the Columbus market.
Driving through Dayton after leaving Cinci I tuned into Channel 945 and I could have sworn they were a CHR that leaned Rhythmic but I didn't hear 1 rock or pop song the whole hour or so I tuned in. I have to say for a CC station, I really liked it. During the noon hour they played songs like Big Pun - Still Not A Player and DJ Kool - Let Me Clear My Throat. It made me reminisce of HOT 105.
Then I drove back home to Columbus... :-\
