Was it snow OVERKILL?

The night before the "snow" WSB had about 13 reporters on the scene. I'm sure the other stations were milking it for all they could get too. Sure, some on the northside got a little snow but most places came up dry. Since I've lived her in the early 80's I've noticed that when stations "predict" a blizzard it usually doesn't happen. The real one comes when they are not expecting it!!! But in all seriousness, 13 reporters trying to see which one spots the first snowflake, does seem to be a bit of an overkill.
