WAS RAYCOM/BOUNCE TV DEAL MADE TO KEEP FCC OFF BANDWIDTH REDUCTIONS

I think broadcasters gave up quite a bit when they switched to digital. Now, the FCC wants
even more (space). Deadline.com claims that may have been a big reason for the Raycom
and Bounce TV deal announced today. Is Raycom drawing a do not cross line in the sand?
Grab it before they take it away............make be the broadcasting theme for 2011.

Raycom seems to have made more use than most ownership groups of subchannels. The use it or lose it approach might be what it takes to get stations off their backsides to do something with their subchannels.
