Was Reading On Little Engine Broadcasting's Facebook Page

Where they were fixing to start up a third radio station. I was wondering if anyone could fill me in, on it.

P.S. Still love and enjoy listening to your radio stations Mr. Terry Barber. They're very entertaining indeed.

B.T.W. Here's the link for those wanting to read it for themselves: https://www.facebook.com/littleenginebroadcasting It's below the Turkey Day Game pic.

I just saw that, too.

Little Engine owns or runs two AMs, and they both have translators associated with them. I figured something might be up when I saw that they used the AM Revitalization plan to acquire a third translator. They're bringing in W276BI from Grenada, MS (where I used to live!) and putting it on the air at 99.3 MHz relaying WMGY. WMGY won't need two translators, and the picture indicates they're creating a third studio, so… my guess is W243CS on 96.5 will be re-purposed for something else. It's possible they could buy another AM, or lease an HD subchannel. Looking at the remaining AMs in Montgomery, there are only a few that are either not owned by a big company or don't have a translator of their own. WALQ Carrville is one, but they have a translator on the way, although there's doubts it'll ever make it on air. WIQR has been silent a while, they could be up for sale. And WXVI is still going it alone. On the FM side, Terry Barber has ties with Bluewater, and Bluewater has already embraced the HD-to-translator thing with WQKS. Who knows, they might add HD to WJWZ or WBAM and use it to feed one more translator. No telling.

What's Praise 96.5? Never heard of it before. Want to learn more.

P.S. WNZZ will need that relay station. The signal is barely heard, at night, in most of Montgomery.

And in other news, WNZZ is being acquired by Shelby Broadcast Associates (Lee Reynolds) and a flip to sports is rumored. They appear to be acquiring the 94.1 translator to go with it.

Sports? I'd prefer they cut a deal and simulcast 1440 AM so Montgomery has a choice in talk radio rather than listen to Biased opinions and a self obsessed egomaniac who borders on racially charged hate towards the president.
