WAS STAR TREK BETTER THAN STAR WARS? WILLIAM SHATNER THINKS SO.

Personally, I like Star Trek Next Generation more than Star Wars. I don't hate Star Wars but seeing and hearing about their merchandise and parodies so often annoys me greatly. Not so much with Star Trek's merchandise and parodies.

the parodies don`t lessen the original movies and shows.

Maybe not to you, but those Star Wars movies have been parodied into the ground. I'm simply sick of seeing them so I try to avoid any new Star Wars parodies whenever possible.

Was Shatner a better singer than Paul McCartney?

"... and she's GONE!"

i`m not a big fan of the parodies either but i really enjoy the first trilogy .the prequal trilogy has its good moments so i watch them.

the only parody i really liked was hardware wars.

Personally I liked "Voyager" myself and thought it to be one of the more "Imaginative" Trek series. (A hologram as your doctor? How cool is that?! ;o) And if Paramount were smart they'd have ended it there. "Enterprise" was just a load of horses---t.

As were the "Wars" prequels. Especially the second and third ones.......you see, Jar Jar Binks was featured so prominently in "Phantom Menace" for a very important reason. He was the one thing that saved the film from being a complete waste of time, money and celluloid as were the other two. Unfortunately a few members of the nation's vocal no-social-life 20-something white-male contingent didn't have the foresight to realise that, expressed fake outrage toward Lucas for his having even dreamt up the character, and basically forced Lucas to remove him from prominence and effectively rendered the other two films the piles of rubbish that they were.

Go at me with a bat'Leth if you must, but that's how I feel about it.

(Oh yeah, and the '96 Original Trilogy remake project was a very sick, cruel joke.)
